Draft Local Bankruptcy Rules, Forms and ECF Administrative Procedures

The United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma is pleased to release Draft Local Bankruptcy Rules, Draft Local Bankruptcy Forms and Draft CM/ECF Administrative Procedures. We appreciate the assistance of the local rules committee comprised of bankruptcy practitioners and court personnel. A two year study has culminated in the creation of these draft rules, forms and procedures. The Court has attempted to incorporate many of the General Orders currently in effect into the new local rules. In addition, based on requests from many bankruptcy practitioners, the committee has made an effort to conform many of our rules to more closely match the new local rules in other Districts within the state. The draft rules, forms and procedures can be found on the Bankruptcy Court's website at http://www.okeb.uscourts.gov/draftrules.html and are available on the links below. Pursuant to Fed.R.Civ.P 83, comments were solicited from the public and draft local rules have been submitted to the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma for approval. If approved, the rules will be effective on December 1, 2009.
