DOCUMENTS CONTAINING PERSONAL IDENTIFIERS/MOTION TO REDACT/ RESTRICT/SEAL
 

PARTY or CREDITOR FILER ONE CASE NUMBER

1.    The filer should file a Motion to Redact Personal Identifiers.  Event code for electronic filers: Bankruptcy>Motion>Redact Personal Identifers.  The Motion may include the redacted document as an attachment to the Motion.  The Motion must contain a certificate of mailing to the Debtor, the Trustee, the U.S. Trustee and any individual whose personal identifiers have been exposed, submit  a proposed order (see number 6 below) and  pay the prescribed fee of $25.00 payable in open and closed cases.  If the filer is not a registered electronic filer the Motion, Certification of mailing, proposed  order and fee should be mailed to U.S. Bankruptcy Court, P.O. Box 1347, Okmulgee, OK 74447.

2    The filer may redact multiple documents in a single case within one motion and pay only one fee.  (If requesting multiple cases see instructions for multiple cases below)

3.    If the case is closed, a Motion to Reopen is NOT necessary.

4.    The filer shall refile the document(s) with the personal identifiers redacted within seven (7) days of the entry of the final Order, unless the redacted document is attached to the Motion.

5.    If the redacted document(s) would normally require a fee, (ie. relief from stay/abandonment) the fee is not required since it is the motion is not asking for new relief.

DEBTOR FILER

 If a Debtor desires to file a Motion to Redact Personal Identifiers from a document that was filed by a party other than the Debtor, the Debtor may file a Motion, a certificate of mailing stating service on the Trustee, U.S. Trustee, submit a proposed order and request that the prescribed fee be waived within the Motion and the order.  After the Order is entered granting the Motion to Redact Personal Identifiers,  the filer of the original document shall refile the document with the personal identifiers redacted within seven (7) days of the entry of the final Order.
 

MULTIPLE CASES

1.    If a party is required to file a Motion to Redact Personal Identifiers in multiple affected cases, the party should open a Miscellaneous Proceeding and pay the prescribed fee of $47.00 to file the Miscellaneous Proceeding.

2.    The omnibus motion to redact should identify each of the affected cases and information to be redacted in each case.  The filer must pay the fee of  $25.00 per affected case.  The Motion must contain a certificate of mailing of service to the Debtor and any individual whose personal identifiers have been exposed, the Trustee and the U.S. Trustee.   

3.    If a case(s) is closed, a Motion to Reopen said case(s) is NOT necessary.

4.    The filer must  refile the document(s) with the personal identifiers redacted within seven (7) days of the entry of the final Order in each affected case.

5.    If the redacted document(s) would normally require a fee, (ie. relief from stay/abandonment) the fee is not required since it is the motion is not asking for new relief.
