ELECTRONIC CASE FILING
The following instructions will guide you through the process of filing and docketing an Application for Compensation in the Eastern District of Oklahoma.
Step 1 Prepare your Application in compliance with Fed.R.Bankr.P., Rule 2016 in WordPerfect or Microsoft Word and save as a PDF document. (See: specific instructions on how to prepare a PDF Document.)
Step 2 Go to the Court’s web page: www.okeb.uscourt.gov (See: web page example)
Step 3 Print out the proper Local Form listed below for a Notice of Application for Compensation :
Local Form 20E Notice of Application for Compensation and Notice of Deadline to File Objection to Application and Notice of Hearing If Objection is Filed.
(This form is used if the fee amount is less than $1000.00)
Local Form 20F Notice of Application for Compensation and Notice of Deadline to file Objection to Application and Notice of Hearing.
(This form is used if the fee amount is more than $1000.00)
Step 4 Obtain the Objection Deadline information and Hearing Date from the Web Page
Step 5 Prepare a Form 20 Notice in WordPerfect or Microsoft Word and Save as a PDF document (See: specific instructions on how to prepare a PDF Document.)
Step 6 Login to CM/ECF and file the Application, under the heading BANKRUPTCY then Applications and attach your PDF Application. File the Notice, under the Heading Bankruptcy, Notices and attach your PDF Notice. The Application and Notice PDF will be electronically mailed to all parties that have elected to receive electronic notice.
Step 7 Print the electronic notice. Then mail by U.S. Mail the paper Application and the Notice to all parties on the matrix that did not receive electronic notice. Prepare a Certificate of Mailing of the Application and the Notice and save as a PDF document. (See: specific instructions on how to prepare a PDF Document.)
Step 8 File the Certificate of Mailing containing the Electronic Notice and any parties mailed by U.S. mail, under the heading BANKRUPTCY then Applications, Other.
FYI To Print a matrix under the heading REPORTS then Creditor Mailing Matrix to mail your Motion and your Notice (See: Manual Reports) or Utilities, Miscellaneous, Mailings, Creditor Mailing Matrix,
If no Objection is filed to an Application for Compensation where Form 20E is used when the amount is less than $1000.00, a Proposed Order should be submitted using E-Orders function on CM/ECF and the Hearing will be taken off of the docket without further notice. If an Objection is submitted all Parties should be prepared to attend the hearing. No further notice of the hearing will be mailed.
A Hearing is required for Applications for Compensation requesting an amount more than $1000.00.
