Attorneys who employ a paralegal or legal assistant to assist in filing documents in CM/ECF may register him or her as a “Filing Agent”. This type of user account enables an agent to file on behalf of the attorney with a distinct login and password with the attorney name showing in the docket text. The option to associate multiple filing agents is available for attorney, trustee and US Trustee user groups. To add a Filing Agent to your account, the Filing Agent must complete the Filing Agent Form and be certified to file electronically by the court by completing the same Training in person or Computer Based Training Modules in another court required for attorneys.
If you are an attorney or a creditor and you wish to file electronic Proof of Claims you no longer need a login and password to file. You may file an electronic Proof of Claim without preparing a B10 Official Form PDF saving and attaching the file. You will need to continue to save and attach any supporting documents to the claim. You will find electronic Proof of Claims under the For Creditors tab on our Internet website. The following documents will still require a login and password: Rule 3002.1 Claim Supplement Forms, Reaffirmations, and Withdrawal of Claims and Transfers of Claim which require a $25 fee. If you file these documents you will need to complete the (Form 5005-1(C)(1)) Electronic Case Filing System Registration.
