Court Operations During a Shutdown

In the event of a government shutdown caused by the failure of Congress to enact an annual appropriation act or a continuing resolution (CR) before November 17, 2023, the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma will remain open and continue operations in the normal course of business.  The court will remain open unless ordered otherwise.  Parties and their representatives should be prepared to appear for all matters that have been and will be scheduled for hearing either in person or by telephone. The Case Management/Electronic Case Files (CM/ECF) system will remain operational to accept electronic filings. Parties remain obligated to timely comply with the filing requirements of applicable law, including the Bankruptcy Code, the Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure, and this Court’s Local Rules.  The Clerk’s Office will continue to answer telephones during normal business hours 8:30 AM– 4:30 PM.

Please call the Clerk’s Office before coming to the court in person, as most inquires can be answered over the phone, filings may be made by electronic format, and ALL payments should be made online using pay.gov within CM/ECF or our website.  Checks and cash should not be mailed to the Court or made in person.
