Filing Claims 

 

Amended Claims

  • To file an Amended Proof of Claim, complete Proof of Claim (B410).    
  • The party filing the claim shall redact the following personal identifiers: all but the last four digits of any social security number, all names of minor children, all but the last four digits of any bank, savings or similar account numbers; and all birth date information except for the year.  The responsibility for redacting personal data identifiers rests solely with the filer.  The Clerk will not review documents for compliance with this rule, seal documents containing personal data identifiers without a Court order, or redact such information from documents, whether filed electronically or on paper.

 

  1. Select Bankruptcy
  2. Select File Claims
  3. Ensure correct case name and number match the document you are filing.
  4. Search for appropriate creditor from drop down list. Verify that the creditor's address in the drop down list is the same as the address on the Proof of Claim.  
  5. CREDITOR’S NAME AND ADDRESS IN THE DATABASE MUST MATCH THE CREDITOR’S NAME AND ADDRESS AS REFLECTED ON THE PROOF OF CLAIM.
  6. If you are amending a previous claim, fill in “Amends Claim #” field.    
  7. Enter TOTAL amount of claim in “Amount Claimed” field. 
  8. Enter SECURED amount (if applicable) in the “Secured” field.
  9. Enter PRIORITY amount (if applicable) in the “Priority” field. 
  10. Browse, verify and attach the Proof of Claim (B410) (pdf file).
  11. Attach supporting documents, if applicable.
  12. Save the Notice of Electronic Claims Filing.

 

 

Withdrawal of Claims

  1. Prepare document
  2. Select Bankruptcy.
  3. Select Claim Actions.
  4. Type correct case number to match the document you are filing.
  5. Select Document Event: Withdrawal of Claim
  6. Check if joint filing with other attorney, if not, select next.
  7. Select Party Filer.
  8. Party filer not listed, Add/Create New Party.
  9. Browse, verify and attach Withdrawal of Claim pdf file.)
  10. Attach supporting documents, if applicable.
  11. Enter Claim #.
  12. Pick Withdraw Status
  13. Modify text, if applicable, such as:
  14. Title of document and/or
  15. Pertinent information - names, titles, property, etc.
  16. Warning!! Verify filing entry is correct before submitting the "Final Docket Text."
  17. Save the Notice of Electronic Filing
